United Kingdom Independence Party UKIP’s election movement comprised a pledge to carry out a CPO, which the earlier Labor controlled Thanet District Council had deferred last year. Despite native efforts to keep the Manston open, the Manston Airport closed on 15 May 2014. RiverOak Investment offering the owner – Manston Skyport – $11 million.
RiverOak made a proposal to Thanet District Council to become a CPO partner for this buyout, however, CPO delayed by the council because it did not admit the RiverOak’s offer. UKIP supports the idea of the CPO. UKIP leader Chris Wells, tells the air cargo journalists that they want Manston Airport active and reopened as soon as possible.
He believes the decision made by the former management was flawed. UKIP leader could not offer a schedule for Manston CPO. RiverOak says it remains committed to get the Manston operational as soon as possible. In the national elections, The Conservative party had won the national elections in the Thanet District Council and they have also supported the CPO. The Member of Parliament from that area was not available for the comment.
On other hand, NHS policy of UKIP will add £3 billion per year for health, and tourism, reverse and buy out the privatisation schemes applied by the last two governments. UKIP wants to make the National Health Services free at the point of supply for all the UK citizens.
UKIP leader says that Thanet council (where Manston Airport is located) will try to purchase the place with all necessary purchases. After the local election, leader said that he was resolute to drive to Manston which was closed last May.
UKIP eagerly carried forward on its election initiate that it will have a CPO. Chris Wells said that according to legal papers there would be no barriers in this process. It is still expected that it would be lawfully challenged. Manston’s re-opening was the major issue in elections but you know the results now and problem is still there.
If the Manston Airport opens in the near future, it will help increase the ease of cargo processes in the area and the flights from all over the UK will land there with the air cargo. But the question still remains “Is the airport linked to the winning of the UKIP?”
