Port Qasim Spotted Anchored by A Number of Ships with Gigantic Tons Load in 24 hours

Port Qasim has the capacity to give reception to a number of loaded cargo ships. Six ships, carrying containers, fertilizer, coal and furnace oil have landed on the port. C.V MSC Bilbao, C.V An Ke, C.V AL-Rawadah, M.T Okyroe, M.V Glarus and DM.V Viola are carrying equipment at Qasim International Container Terminal. FOTCO Oil Terminal was used to berth Furnace oil; Grain and Fertilizer Terminal for fertilizer and Multi-purpose Terminal are used to berth Coal.

Meanwhile, the outer anchorage of Port Qasim is spotted anchored with two ships, Atlantic Glory and Maersk Kensington carrying chemicals and containers.

Higher Berth Occupancy of 73%

At Port Qasim, a total of eleven berths were engaged by occupying higher side of 73% by the ships named as C.V MSC Bilbao, C.V An Ke, C.V AL-Rawada, c.V MSC Roma, M.V Johar Express, M.V E.R Bilbao, M.T IVY Galaxy, M.V Glarus, M.V Biola, M.T Okyroe and BungaAngalica.

These ships loaded and offloaded containers, cement, fertilizers, coal, chemicals, palm oil and furnace oil. The whole activity was spotted within 24 hours, a busy day at Port Qasim.

Import and Export Capacity in 24 hours

The statistic number shows that there are different export and import sea cargo figures which are found in the 24 hour span.

The total of 137,837 tonnes of load is counted segregating import of 96,979 tonnes and export of 40,858 tonnes including containerized cargo carried in total 3,517 containers.

Sailing Activity

A Container Ship was sailed out to sea named MSC Roma on Tuesday morning whereas; three more ships are aimed to sail on the same day naming C.V MSC Bilbao, C.V Al-Rawada and M.T IVY Galaxy.

Being the second busiest port in the country handling about 35% of the nation’s cargo (17 million tons per day), Port Qasim has the capacity to organise 60% of the country’s export and import. Increase in these figures, is planned in the future. The days are near when Port Qasim will be the busiest port in Asia.
